Gonzaga recycles!

Did you know that Gonzaga recycles paper, refundable containers and now organics on a bigger scale.
Thanks to a grant from the Healthy Schools Grant in conjunction with the Climate Change Education Centre we have purchased a rotary composter, rain barrel, gardening equipment and more! While Gonzaga composts small amounts of organic materials with a vermicompost, we can now think bigger. There will be a place to compost the leaves collected by Eco group on neighbourhood leaf raking. Bins will also be placed in the cafeteria for organic matter which will be composted using the rotary composter. Happy composting and a big thank you to the school’s Eco group!
