Gonzaga Tops in Cardboard Boat Race

Gonzaga teamed up again this year with Booth Memorial to participate in our second annual Cardboard Boat Race. On Tuesday, December 16th, 45 students from the two schools traveled to Wedgewood Park to construct their own cardboard boats with nothing but cardboard and a roll of duct tape. In teams of four or five the groups worked together on their designs for the morning and then one person from each team had to race their boat across the pool in the afternoon. With 11 teams competing, Gonzaga was victorious taking both first and second place! Congratulations to all participants.

The winning teams include:

  • Second Place: Christian Devereaux, Liam Major, Aidan Northcote, and Tim Porter
  • First Place: Cameron Dunn, Jack Hickey, Jack Hutton, Aidan Kelly, and Francis Sun
