SAFE GRAD 2016 – Now seeking parent volunteers!

SAFE GRAD 2016 – Now seeking volunteers!

Grade 12 students of Gonzaga will be holding their prom and Safe Grad on Friday, April 22.  The prom begins at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, where students will enjoy a meet and greet followed by a dinner and dance.  After a quick change of clothing at home, students will come to the school at midnight for the start of the Safe Grad festivities.

Safe Grad provides students with a fun-filled, drug- and alcohol-free night of celebrations in a safe and inclusive atmosphere where every student can enjoy a full night of graduation festivities with their classmates. The school is amazingly decorated and we offer plenty of food and fun activities all night long.

Safe Grad is organized by parent volunteers with the support of the school administration. In order for it to be successful, we rely on the help of our dedicated parent community. Parents from every grade level are encouraged to get involved; however, it is the help of Grade 10 and 11 parents that is particularly important as we get closer to Safe Grad Day. This idea of paying it forward lets the parents of Grade 12 students get involved with Safe Grad preparations in the weeks and months leading up to the big event, but it also relieves them of these responsibilities on Grad Day so that they are free to partake in the celebrations with their own children.

We will be looking for many volunteers to help with the following tasks:

Set-up and decorating

Thursday, April 21 from 1 to 10 p.m.

If you are able to help us with any of these tasks, please send: (1) your name, (2) your phone number, (3) the dates and times of your availability to Thank you for any help that you can provide.  We sincerely appreciate all offers of help, no matter how big or small.
