Our prom and safe grad are approaching quickly. Here is some information to help you plan for the big day.
Prom is being held on Friday, May 26 and tickets will go on sale from May 1-5 at the school. Tickets will be sold at the cost of $75 each. Tickets include both the prom and Safe Grad. Each graduate will be allocated four tickets. Should a graduate need additional tickets, we will keep a list of requests and sell any extra tickets to graduates as they become available. In order to purchase tickets, graduates will need to provide signed contracts for safe grad. These contracts will be sent home after the Easter break. Graduates should also bring along a baby picture when they purchase their tickets. Their picture will be shown at the prom. Graduates will be able to pre-select seats at tables for the dinner. Parents may be seated with other parents or with their graduate, depending upon their preferences. The seating plan will be done at the point of the ticket sale. One other point to note is that guests should indicate any dietary restrictions when the tickets are bought.
The event will begin with a meet and greet at the Jack Byrne Arena at 5:30 and that will run until 6:30. At 6:30, there will be some short speeches/addresses prior to the meal being served at 7 pm. At the conclusion of the meal, there will be some student fun awards and a slideshow, followed by some dances.
Safe Grad will commence shortly afterwards at Gonzaga. Doors will open at 11:15. Students will be able to sign in up until 12:15. They will be asked to have their bags inspected upon entry; consequently, they should plan to bring as few items as possible. Safe Grad will run until 5 am. Graduates will not be permitted to leave Safe Grad until either it ends at 5:00 am and they leave with a parent or if they call a parent early to come sign him/her out. They cannot drive themselves home as it is considered to be unsafe.
We are looking forward to this exciting event and plans are moving quickly. Should you have any questions as the time draws closer, please contact the school.
