For grade 12 students who are keen to prepare for their first year of studies at Memorial University, the inaugural Summer Orientation for Academic Readiness (SOAR) is being offered in July 2017.
This two-day program will help students develop friendships, meet faculty and key administrators, and become familiar with the St. John’s campus prior to the start of their classes in September.
Participants will stay overnight in residence with other new students, eat on campus, and participate in leadership development and specialized sessions with professors and university leaders.
There are five opportunities to participate this summer:
- Music students: July 6-7
- Business students: July 6-7
- Science students: July 13-14
- All programs: July 17-18
- Engineering students: July 20-21
The program fee is $90 and covers accommodations, food and activities for the two days.
